From the UAE, Germany and Palestine to the world - Join @blankcanvas.community, @michaelmjabareen & @basta.theatre for a journey through the timeline of Palestinian Art; as an exploration of the role it can play to communicate, create and act for social change.
The ‘Art in Action’ virtual series explores the role of Art in preserving a culture’s identity and in amplifying social justice. This series, which zooms in on the Palestinian cause, explores how Art is playing a crucial role in cementing Palestinian existence and offers global-minded artists a creative toolkit to use their platforms and art to communicate, create, and act for social change.
The sessions will include a combination of talks and performances by upcoming and prominent voices of Palestinian Art. In parallel, there will be a practical element in each session to offer guidance to the audience to use the toolkit and create their own artworks as acts of social advocacy. These artworks will then be compiled into a collage with an aim to be exhibited in the UAE and Berlin.
// Please note // This is a four day event, from July 5-8 we will start at 7pm GST each day. Every ticket booked will give you access to all four days.
